How to Find Work as a Supply Teacher

Supply teachers can often find work easily, as this kind of teaching work is very much in demand. However, there are better ways of finding employment in this industry than others, and this will help you to never be out of work.

The main thing to do is to make good contacts within a teaching agency. They will have new jobs and positions all the time, giving you access to lots of different work opportunities. If you get to know various recruitment consultants within the recruitment agency, this also gives you the chance to hear about lots of different and exciting positions.

It’s also important you keep in contact with those you meet in the industry. If there is a particular school that you want to work with, ask them directly if they have supply teaching requirements. By working directly with the school and letting them know your availability, it is likely they will contact you.
